Day 9: The Gift of Words

Written By Amy

I love to put things in my house that have words…there is something so captivating about it.  There is a website called WORDLE that gives you the ability to make prints with a mix of any words you want in different fonts and colors of your choice.  They make fabulous gifts!  I have made a couple of Wordle’s for you to print out right now if you would like!  One is a Christmas theme, and another is a generic one for a daughter:

Christmas Wordle   Just click on the orange words at the beginning of this sentence to see this wordle and print it out!  It looks a little different from the one in the picture above, but it is a good one too.  You will need to have Java installed on your computer to see this.  If you don’t, go to and install the latest version for your computer…it’s just a couple of clicks.

Daughter Wordle  Again, you can click on this link to print out this exact wordle and wrap it under the tree for your daughter.

Here is one that you can give to a friend: Friend wordle

You can also click on this link,,  to make one of your own.  I made one for a friend with her name and all the qualities about her that I love.  I put it in a frame and presto, a thoughtful personal gift.  You can make one with bible verses, or inspirational words.  You can make gifts for the hobbies in your loved one’s life, for example one about cooking or hiking.  Just an FYI, to make some words larger than others, list them two times or three times…the more repeats you have of a word the larger it gets! Have fun with these!

PS.  I will be drawing the winners at the end of the day.  (That is right before I go to bed:) Hehe, no exact times here.)

Day 7: Three Gifts That Keep On Giving

You may be trying to think of those last few gifts for neighbors, family, or that new friend you would like to reach out to with a small something.  Here are three simple but long-lasting gifts that you can give this holiday season.

1.  A FREE  subscription to Thriving Family.  This is a publication from Focus on the Family that we receive and we love!  It is FULL of ideas for teaching our kids about their relationship with God, along with marriage and personal growth topics, and it will cost you nothing.   Just click here,

2.  A daily devotional.  I love these, and I love getting new ones to start the new year!  Here are three that look great:

This last one is a great devotional for all by Oswald Chambers.

You can find all of these books for quick ordering on this Amazon link:

3.  Send someone a link to GraceFULLhome!  This is such an easy way to say Merry Christmas to almost anyone, because they will receive the gifts of community, inspiration, and a lot more as long as they want to subscribe.  Just send them this link:  in an email with a note from you!

We hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
